Sa-rang-eui Bul-sa-chak plot
South Korean Yoon Se Ri is a beautiful heiress and a leading business woman in fashion. While paragliding from Seoul, a tornado suddenly strikes and throws her off course. She ends up in a forest in an area in North Korea that is off limits to South Koreans. There she meets the North Korean military officer Ri Jung Hyuk who helps her go into hiding and wants to help her secretly return to South Korea. Over time, they fall in love, despite the divisions and strife between their countries.

I also tried a K-drama once. The prejudice I had about those series - a smooth, commercial and soapy whole - has come true. It is difficult to get used to the product placement and the smoothed faces. But the production quality is more than fine, which brings it closer to the better Korean films.
Son Ye-jin is also a charismatic and well-acting leading lady, but I think her opponent Hyun Bin is too wooden.
The first half of the series is the best in my opinion. North Korea is portrayed somewhat naively, but it does offer many nice details and quirks about the country, at a high and low level. The second part, in which the Northerners move to the South, is more humorous but often a bit too bland.
The series does take way too long for a season, more than twenty hours is a bit too much.
