Basutado!! Ankoku no Hakaishin plot
Many years in the future, the world has been destroyed and has grown back to a time of kingdoms and castles. One of these kingdoms, Metallicana, is under attack by the evil wizard Osbourne. When Metallicana's men are at a loss for Osbourne's spells, they consider bringing in the imprisoned Dark Schneider, the most powerful yet evil wizard ever.

Released in Japan under the title "BASTARD!! -Ankoku no Hakaishin-" (BASTARD!! -暗黒の破壊神-).
This very short series actually seems to serve as some sort of introduction to the manga. After only 6 episodes the series was already over, but only 3 of Dark Schneider's 4 opponents have been defeated. In the manga you are at issue 6 I believe (out of 20?). It looks nice, but has a very open ending.
