Island at War plot

Shortly after the conquest of France in 1940, the Germans also occupied the Channel Islands, located between France and England. The story takes place on St. Gregory, a fictional island belonging to that island group. Here, all kinds of residents experience the occupation in their own way. Their anger at the war and the occupation regularly has to give way to pragmatism in order to befriend the Germans and to be able to survive themselves.
