Streets of Laredo plot

Woodrow F. Call is a seasoned bounty hunter who has suffered some serious blows: his son is killed in an accident and his ranch in Montana has become a financial fiasco. Call is hired by Colonel Terry, a wealthy New York railroad executive. Call must track down and eliminate the dreaded Mexican bandit Joey Garza. During the chase, Call encounters familiar characters from Lonesome Dove, such as his loyal comrade Pea Eye and ex-prostitute Lorena. New characters are also featured, such as the somewhat chubby and shy accountant Ned Brookshire, Garza's fiery and attractive mother, and the famous tracker Famous Shoes. Call's relentless pursuit of Garza takes both men deep into Mexican territory and leads to a showdown between experience and youthful brutality.
