The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin plot
The series is set around Fort Apache, a cavalry camp in the state of Arizona around 1900. In addition to soldiers, the boy Rusty and his German shepherd Rin-Tin-Tin also live here. They were the only survivors after their village was attacked by Native Americans. Civilians are actually not allowed to live there, but after they have saved a few men's lives through a heroic act, Rusty and Rin-Tin-Tin are appointed corporal and soldier.
