The Outer Limits plot

The Outer Limits is a combination of science fiction and horror. Usually the episodes are about normal people who unexpectedly have to deal with an extraordinary situation. Think of extraterrestrial life, time travel, space travel, alternative universes, paranormal events, genetic manipulation, conspiracy theories etc. How do people deal with these matters? What are the consequences for humanity? What does it even mean to be 'human' in such a situation? Where are the limits of science? Within a SF context an attempt is made to answer these questions in a semi-philosophical way.
