Hec Ramsey plot
At the end of the nineteenth, early twentieth century, former gunfighter Hec Ramsey arrives in the small town of New Prospect, Oklahoma. Ramsey knows that the true "wild west" no longer exists and that the days of gun conflict are over. He has since replaced his old 'sixshooter' for a regular revolver and is looking for new work. Oliver B. Stamp, the town's new sheriff, is looking for people to help him in his new office. Stamp is still young and has no experience as a police officer. Hec applies and is hired as a deputy sheriff. Although the two men have to get used to each other in the beginning, a close cooperation soon develops. Ramsey is not an old-fashioned man. On the contrary, he focuses on new techniques such as fingerprint identification, searching for traces with a magnifying glass and securing those traces.
