The Carrie Diaries plot

Carrie Bradshaw is a 16-year-old high school girl from Connecticut in 1984. She spends her adolescence with her best friends Mouse and Maggie as she tries to cope with the recent loss of her mother indoors with her father Tom and rebellious younger sister Dorrit. During the new school year, she falls in love with the newcomer to the school, Sebastian. She gets competition from Donna, the most popular girl in the school. The love triangle is further conflicted when Carrie gets an internship at a law firm in Manhattan. She tries with some effort to combine her life at school with her career in the big city.
