In 1939 there is war in Europe. Bombs are being thrown on houses, soldiers are shooting at each other and millions of people are losing their homes and their lives. And it's all because of Adolf Hitler, the boss of Germany. Hitler wants to become the boss of all of Europe and that is why the Germans invade the Netherlands. For the Dutch this means that their whole life changes completely in one fell swoop. 13 in the War takes you back to the Second World War and tells what happened and what it is like to grow up during the war.
