Disillusioned after a long career at Sunshine Desserts, Reginald Perrin experiences his midlife crisis and even fakes his own death. He returns disguised as someone else but ends up in exactly the same position at his old job. Nothing has changed for Reginald and when one realizes his failed action, life goes on as usual.
