Bring Me the Beauties: A Model Cult plot

Docuseries about the true story of a former male supermodel who was swept into a New Age spiritual group in the 1980s amidst the glamour of Manhattan. Hoyt Richards recounts how, at the age of sixteen, he met a charismatic Manhattan socialite on a beach in Nantucket. That encounter drew him into the group Eternal Values, led by Frederick von Mierers. The leader combined astrology, Eastern philosophy, and self-improvement messages to attract models and ambitious young professionals in the New York social circuit. By day, he worked as a well-paid, jet-set model. At night, he slept on a mat in von Mierers' apartment, helped fund the group, and recruited new members. Fellow model Fabio Lanzoni eventually stepped in to catch Richards when he decided to break with the group for good.
