The Life & Times of Te Tutu plot
In the mid-nineteenth century, Maori leader Te Tutu is confronted by three colonists from England. They are the arrogant Henry Vole, his wife and the elitist snob Herrick. In the descriptions of this first contact between the Maori and the English, everything is ridiculed, from religion to land theft to the Treaty of Waitangi between the Maori and the British crown.
