Shetland plot

We meet Jimmy Perez, a local police inspector. He is a real Shetlander who has lived elsewhere for years but at some point returned to his homeland, together with his fourteen-year-old daughter Cassie. Perez is someone who never says too much, but who radiates natural authority: a combination of qualities that comes in handy when solving crimes.

Another more than excellent season from Shetland. Contains the usual detective 'flaws' (coincidences, rumbling back and forth, etc. with suspects to keep the tension, etc.), but it still gets away with it, especially because of the strong acting / strong characters.

This time it will not only take place on the Shetland archipelago, but Norway will also be visited a few times.
