Alias Smith and Jones plot

Hannibal Heyes and Kid Curry are outlaws and leaders of the Devil's Hole Gang in Wyoming in the late 1800s. They rob trains, rob banks and blow open safes. Despite their crimes, the two are very popular with the public. The main reason for this is that both men never kill anyone during their robberies. However, Heyes and Curry find it increasingly difficult to practice their profession. Under the aliases Joshua Smith (Heyes) and Thaddeus Jones (Curry), both men set out to find honest work and stay out of trouble

Heerlijke western-comedy die ik mij nog goed kan herinneren. Begin jaren '70 had nog niemand een (consumenten) videorecorder. Jaren later werden sommige afleveringen herhaald op enkele zenders en heb ik kans gezien om er de nodige op VHS op te nemen. Van het bovenstaande rijtje vind ik aflevering twee ("The McCreedy Bust") de beste. Zonder de plot te verraden, kan wel gezegd worden dat het edele pokerspel centraal staat in het verhaal.

Wonderful western comedy that I can still remember well. In the early 1970s, no one had a (consumer) video recorder. Years later, some episodes were repeated on some channels and I was able to record quite a few on VHS. Of the above list, I think episode two ("The McCreedy Bust") is the best. Without betraying the plot, it can be said that the noble poker game is central to the story.
