Love Is Blind: Germany plot

Christian Wackert and Steffi Brungs present this social experiment, in which single men and women looking for love get engaged, but only then actually meet. Free from the distractions of the outside world, the singles talk to a series of potential partners, and when a meaningful connection is made, they get engaged and see each other for the first time. Engaged and back in the real world, planning their wedding day, they'll soon discover if they can transform their emotional connection into a physical one before the fast-approaching ceremony.

One wonders to what extent the couples haven't agreed (or at least discussed) beforehand what their response will be. And since the time to get to know each other is so short, they could simply agree not to get married, but to continue their relationship together outside of the program.

It's sometimes cringeworthy that during the show someone accuses their partner of not taking the relationship seriously enough (like Yasmin), while that very person says "no" at the wedding ceremony (poor Andi).

I can understand that the parents of the couples are sometimes against the idea of marrying someone they have only known for a few weeks so quickly.

I wonder if Josefina will be able to live forever with the fact that Gunnar doesn't want. His family apparently assumes that they'll eventually be able to convince him to have children. The question is, can you completely abandon your own want to have children for someone else, or will that problem resurface sooner or later?
