The Waterfront plot

For decades, the Buckley family has ruled Havenport, North Carolina, from the local fishing industry to its restaurants. But their fishing empire begins to crumble after patriarch Harlan Buckley recovers from two heart attacks and his wife Belle and son Cane throw themselves into the deep end to keep the family businesses afloat. Daughter Bree, a recovering addict who has lost custody of her son, must confront her own demons and become entangled in a complicated relationship that could threaten the family’s future forever.

Humo: The Waterfront op Netflix werkt voor geen zeemijl, een slappe twee. Dit word al eens vergeleken met het schitterende Bloodline of The Ozarks, maar vergeet het maar. Over het algemeen zijn de kritieken niet al te best en dat is helemaal terecht. Een middelmatig Netflix product om snel te bekijken en nog sneller te vergeten, word er nog gezegd. Om dit te bekijken moet je al echt een warme vervelende dag hebben, en na dit te kijken word hij zeker niet beter....flauwe soap hap...

Humo: The Waterfront on Netflix doesn't work for a nautical mile, a weak two. This has been compared to the brilliant Bloodline or The Ozarks, but forget it.

In general, the reviews are not that great and that is completely justified. A mediocre Netflix product to watch quickly and forget even faster, they say.

You really have to be having a hot, boring day to watch this, and after watching this it certainly won't get any better....lame soap opera fare...
