Zorro plot

Everyone expects to take control of California in 1834: the old colonizers, the newly installed government yearning for support from Mexico after serving the Spanish crown, Russian oligarchs, the French who do not want to give up their control of this rich area, and the newly formed United States of America. The victims of this struggle are always the same: the native Indians, the Mexican workers, and the immigrants of every race and origin who sought opportunity. Their last hope is a millennial hero who has kept peace in their world and has now been reincarnated into the young Diego de la Vega.

Per toeval op gekomen door proefmaand Videoland. Zorro blijft mijn favoriete karakter en de Disney serie uit de jaren 50 is ongeëvenaard. Deze serie is vooral een teleurstelling. Het voelt zo goedkoop allemaal. Zelden zo'n lelijk belichte serie gezien. Acteurs zijn ok, met uitzondering van de 'Amerikanen', bijna komisch zo slecht. Beetje zoals met Squid Game. Op een paar ok momenten na slaan ze vooral de plank steeds mis. Je mist de mooie kostuums, productie design en indrukwekkende zwaard gevechten.

Came up by chance during the trial month of Videoland. Zorro remains my favorite character and the Disney series from the 1950s is second to none.

This series is mainly a disappointment. It all feels so cheap. Rarely have I seen such an ugly lit series. Actors are ok, with the exception of the 'Americans', almost comically bad. Kind of like with Squid Game. With the exception of a few okay moments, they keep missing the point. You miss the beautiful costumes, production design and impressive sword fights.
