Piano no Mori plot

The boy Kai Ichinose lives in a prostitution area, but escapes at night to play the piano in the woods. Shūhei Amamiya, the son of a professional pianist, arrives at his new school. It doesn't take long before he is bullied and challenged to play the mysterious piano in the woods. Shūhei accepts and meets Kai, who seems to be the only one who can get sound from the broken piano. Kai's prowess earns him the respect of Shūhei and their music teacher, Sōsuke Ajino. Both try to persuade Kai to take real piano lessons.
