The series highlights the daily struggles of the young women who spend their time at the Madison Juvenile Correctional Facility in Indiana and sheds light on an under-discussed issue: juvenile incarceration in America. The students we get to know are often victims of a system set up against them, and while some of them can start with a clean slate and leave their imprisoned lives behind, others never get the chance.
