What a very disappointing season. The first seasons of Killing Eve stood out for their wonderfully cynical humor and stylish production. However, this season is very slow and meaningless. Nothing is being done with the build-up of the past seasons to a great climax. Although I think this was done deliberately. A missed opportunity! Not even Jodie can save this season unfortunately.

So that was another very entertaining series, I had already expressed and described my very positive feelings for this series here in season 1 and/or 2. Those were the 2 strongest seasons, this 4th will certainly continue with the same momentum, but just that little bit less wow. But Jodie Comer as Villanell, what a pleasure to watch and Villanelle overall really has something about her that intrigues me very much, her facial expressions, way of conversing and/or talking to herself and her actions tout court and above all just TS a clean appearance.

An 8.5/10 (2 x 4.5/5 and 2 x 4/5 = 17/20).

Furthermore, Help (Film, 2021) with Jodie Comer ool is on my watchlist.

Interesting series. In the first episodes I still had the feeling of 'different, easy to watch'. But gradually you get sucked in more. Between the abrasive story and the crime there is ample room for (uncomfortable) humor/craziness and that works very well for me.

It is remarkable that the title character is actually one of the most annoying. Eve looks like a surprised housewife for seasons. Her character could rarely convince me (with the 4th season as the low point). That in contrast to Villeneuve, who carries the entire series. I had never heard of Jodie Comer, but what an actress. The craziness of her character is really perfectly reflected in her many facial expressions and motor skills. That was really enjoyable, with a few memorable scenes. The makers probably noticed that too, because from the 2nd season Villeneuve clearly got more screen time from Eve. I also often enjoyed Konstantin's roaring laugh.

The amount of air miles collected would also have been impressive, as would the costume designer's wardrobe.

The common thread in the series is of course the interaction between Villeneuve and Eve. That doesn't always work that well. In the build-up in the first season and the course of the second season certainly. Eventually the attraction and repulsion becomes tiring and loses its power. In fact, it starts to irritate in the last season.

Sure, the series has its weaknesses, predictability and implausibility. But all in all, it is definitely worth it, especially for Jodie Comer's performance and the weirdness within the crime story.

4 stars for the first three seasons, 3 for the last.
