Warrior Nun plot

A 19-year-old woman wakes up in a morgue with a revived and a divine artifact embedded in her back. She discovers that she is now part of an ancient order charged with fighting demons on Earth and that strong forces, representing both Heaven and Hell, want to find and control her. She soon finds herself caught up in a battle between good and evil.

Ok, halverwege deze serie, die zweeft tussen fantasy en drama. Ik kan dit wel smaken en oké Alba Baptista heeft hier zeker iets mee te maken, zowel haar schoonheid als de rol die ze prachtig vervult. Ik vind het wel vaak meer drama dan fantasy, het is geen overweldigende fantasy met continue felle visuals en sound, het heeft z'n momenten, dit is niet negatief bedoeld. Het verhaal is zeker boeiend genoeg om te blijven volgen en ik ben niet altijd een even goede bingewatcher, dan moet het mij echt wel zeer goed bevallen, dus momenteel 5 episodes gebinged, dan kan ik wel zeggen dat deze serie vr mij goed uitdraait.

Ok, halfway through this series, which hovers between fantasy and drama. I can taste this and okay Alba Baptista certainly has something to do with this, both her beauty and the role she plays beautifully. I often think it is more drama than fantasy, it is not an overwhelming fantasy with continuous bright visuals and sound, it has its moments, this is not meant in a negative way. The story is certainly interesting enough to keep following and I'm not always a good binge watcher, then I really like it, so currently bingeing 5 episodes, then I can say that this series is turning out well for me.

Eigenlijk ben ik alleen gaan kijken omdat Alba Baptista mij betoverde in Mrs.Harris Goes To Paris. Warrior Nun is een titel die normaal gesproken anoniem aan mij voorbij zou trekken. Maar wat een prima fantasy serie is dit. Mooi gemaakt op verschillende exotische locaties met in de hoofdrollen 4 badass meiden die het verhaal strak en soms spectaculair laten verlopen. Dat “monster” (naam vergeten) was eigenlijk het enige minpunt qua special effects, maar verder mooie fantasy serie met veel ruimte voor grappige en serieuze dialogen en mooie emoties.

Actually, I only went to watch because Alba Baptista enchanted me in Mrs.Harris Goes To Paris. Warrior Nun is a title that would normally pass me by anonymously. But what a great fantasy series this is. Beautifully made in various exotic locations starring 4 badass girls who make the story flow tight and sometimes spectacular. That "monster" (name forgotten) was actually the only flaw in terms of special effects, but otherwise a beautiful fantasy series with plenty of room for funny and serious dialogues and beautiful emotions.

Volgens mij krijgt deze serie een hoger cijfer alleen al vanwege alba baptista hahha. En ik kan niemand ongelijk geven, wat een schoonheid. Maar goed over de serie zelf. Ik vond seizoen 1 ijzersterk en wat een geweldige karakters zitten erin. Vooral de vechtscenes met beatrice en mother superion zijn heel gaaf. Seizoen 2 krijgt bij moviemeter een hoger cijfer maar daar ben ik het niet mee eens. Werd bij seizoen 2 iets teveel fantasy , nu kan ik dat best hebben maar die monsters vond ik grafisch niet heel sterk neergezet. Het einde vond ik dan wel weer gaaf en genoeg open gelaten zodat er mischien nog een seizoen bij komt, we gaan het zien. Al met al zeker een leuke serie als je een beetje van fantasy, vechten en een beetje drama houd, Goede cast .voor seizoen 1 een 4 en seizoen 2 een 3.5

I think this series gets a higher rating just because of alba baptista hahha. And I can't blame anyone, what a beauty. But good about the series itself. I thought season 1 was very strong and what great characters it contains. Especially the fight scenes with beatrice and mother superion are very cool. Season 2 gets a higher score at movie meter but I don't agree with that. Was a bit too much fantasy in season 2, now I can handle that, but I didn't think those monsters were graphically very strong. I thought the ending was cool and left enough open so that maybe there will be another season, we'll see. All in all, definitely a fun series if you like a bit of fantasy, fighting and a bit of drama. Good cast. For season 1 a 4 and season 2 a 3.5
