Still only given 4 stars. It remains somewhat good, but this season is definitely the worst yet. Still, there are some quality episodes in this season, for example: Edge of Tomorty: Rick, Die, Rickpeat, The Vat of Acid Episode and Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri. For the rest of the episodes it is somewhat mediocre comedy, although the storylines are still fun. This season didn't really have the feeling I had with the first seasons, a bit lower in comedy levels and I lacked some character development, which only came up twice. Still, it's entertaining.

After the previous season, which in my opinion was the best so far, this is a step back. Although the first half of the season is very good (only the fourth episode was a bit disappointing), the second half feels less inspired, where only the eighth and last episodes were really cool. But what is also disappointing is that most episodes are quite separate from each other. Only in the last episode is there really any development in the characters and their mutual relationships. And that should have been more. It's cool to know that Beth has been cloned and that Tammy and Birdperson are returning, but the lack of Evil Morty and the Citadel of the Ricks is a bit disappointing. 3.5*.

The beginning of the descent in quality.

While still quite entertaining overall, the real highs (except for The Vat of Acid episode) are no longer on the level of the best episodes before this one and the lesser episodes (especially Claw and Hoarder, Promortyus and Childrick of Mort) are starting to form previously unknown lows.

The series spends an entire season on sidequests and the careful construction of the big picture and character development from the third season is largely ignored. Also, absurd or gross excesses are sought out more often instead of the inventive charm of earlier ideas, which makes it all feel a bit lazy.

The heist within a heist from One Crew over the Crewcoo's Morty, the metastructure of Never Ricking Morty and the time travel overload from Rattlestar Ricklactica are the kind of double-entendre storytelling techniques that the series would later fall back on to give episodes something clever or inimitable, but the actual creativity is not always evident anymore.

Still a good enough, but clearly the worst season so far and in retrospect the first to definitively start the descent in quality. 3.5
