Big Little Lies plot

The black comedy Big Little Lies tells the story of three mothers of first-graders, whose supposedly perfect lives lead to a murder. After the first season, the plot seemed a bit different, but this second series is surprisingly strong. The thriller element may be largely absent, but the great acting of the entire cast and the psychologically clever script make this once again worthwhile. Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern are especially on track here, but new acquisition Meryl Streep also appears to be a bull's eye. Rarely do you see such well-developed female characters.

Almost the same level as Season 1, with the main change being the addition of Meryl Streep. And for those who want to run screaming, it may be a consolation that she plays an intolerable person very well. Well worth it. Certain things that had quite an impact in season 1 are still shaking quite a bit.
