The son of legendary Formula 1 star James Hunt has slammed his father's portrayal by Chris Hemsworth in Rush.
Ron Howard's biographical feature told the story of the motorsport rivalry between Hunt and Niki Lauda during the 1976 world championship season.
Rush received positive reviews from critics, with particular praise sent towards Hemsworth and his co-star Daniel Bruhl for their performances as Hunt and Lauda.

However, Freddie Hunt, a racer in his own right, believes the depiction was inaccurate.
"I don't know if I should be upset with Chris or (film director) Ron Howard because he basically played dad like a t**t," he told the Pitstop podcast.
"I don't know if it's due to his poor acting or he was directed to play that way.
"And when I asked Ron Howard: ‘why did you change so many things?’, the director, he said ‘Ahh the truth was too awesome man. No one would believe it.’ I nearly slapped him. The movie was great, you know people like it. But it could have been, if they just stuck to the truth it would have been so much better."
Daniel Bruhl played a 'masterpiece'
Hunt was full of praise for Bruhl's performance, though, as the Spanish-German actor spent time with Lauda in preparation for the role.
"Daniel Bruhl, who played Niki Lauda, did an absolute masterpiece," he continued.
"He actually asked Niki if he could spend some time with him so he could learn his mannerisms and really get to know him.
"What did Hemsworth do in contrast? F**k all. He didn’t contact the family once."
