Valley of Fear plot
Johnny Williams returns to Beaufort and is immediately chased by the banker Stevens and other important residents of the city. When he arrives at the Williams ranch, the cowboy Rusty Peters tells him that Johnny's now deceased uncle is suspected of embezzling a large sum of money. The residents of the town are convinced that Johnny's uncle has sent the money to Johnny. Neighboring rancher Tom Lansing offers Johnny to help him clear his name. At the place where his uncle died, Johnny finds a clue, but at that moment he is shot at.
