Utah Wagon Train plot
"A half-million in gold buried in a cave 100 years and a mad race across the forgotten California pioneer trail to find it"
The rancher Rex Allen receives a telegram requesting help from his elderly uncle, because he is in trouble. Allen's uncle has been hired to travel the same route to California with a caravan of modern-day adventurers as their ancestors 100 years ago. Before Allen can talk to his uncle, he is found to have been murdered. Allen takes his uncle's place as leader of the caravan and soon learns that gold, which the original pioneers hid in a cave somewhere along the way, plays an important role.
