Jeff Carr arrives in Tomahawk. His assignment, as a special agent for the Pinkerton agency, is to find out who is responsible for the stagecoach robbery and a series of murders that leave the town in terror. Sheep farmer Alec Black is suspected by the locals, but Jeff soon realizes that the man has nothing to do with it. Jeff and Alec even become friends, despite both falling in love with the same woman, Holly. Jeff suspects that Ranse Jackman is behind the allegations against Alec.
