The Black Dakotas plot

"THUNDERING ACROSS THE HILLS OF DAKOTA"

During the American Civil War, the President of the Union, Abraham Lincoln, sends an emissary to the Sioux Indian tribe for a peace treaty. The emissary is also carrying $130,000 worth of gold bars as a gift. Lincoln hopes in this way to free soldiers for his war against the Confederates. Brock Marsh, a Confederate sympathizer, assaults the emissary, trying to prevent the peace treaty. He steals the gold and then unleashes an Indian war between the Sioux and the Dakotas. Ruth, the daughter of the spy John Lawrence, and her boyfriend, the coachman Mike Daugherty, go on a hunt for Marsh and the gold bars.
