Sombrero Kid, The plot
After a 15-year absence, Marshal Thomas Holden returns with his two sons Jerry and Tommy to lead the fight against a band of outlaws who are terrorizing the city. This gang supposedly takes orders from one Smoke Denton, but the real leader is the bank president Uriah Martin. Thomas Holden makes the mistake of telling Martin about a rich gold vein he found, and Martin then has him killed by Denton. Martin discovers in Holden's papers that Jerry is actually the son of an outlaw who had killed Holden twenty years ago, and he makes this knowledge public. Jerry wants to leave Coldwater, killing a man in self-defense, after which Tommy, now a marshal, has to arrest him.
