Dave Morrell is appointed as the new Marshal of Goliath, Oklahoma. Immediately after his arrival, Morrell clashes with banker Coy Barrett, who appears to be out of touch and at the center of all local criminal activity. The two play a cat-and-mouse game, with Morrell slowly trying to gather evidence that argues against Barrett.
