War Camp plot

Spring 1965. At the height of the Vietnam War, the Pentagon plans a covert operation to end the nightmare: they want to drop a hydrogen bomb on Hanoi. Captain Steiner is assigned to lead the operation, but when he is on his way to Saigon with classified documents, he is shot. A rescue team is dispatched, but the captain is missing. At their wits' end, they select three men from the Asian troops to penetrate Viet Cong territory. However, they are captured and end up in the POW underground death camp where Steiner and a number of American soldiers are imprisoned. The treatment by the guards, who delight in torturing their prisoners, is truly degrading.
