The American Steve MacKendrick volunteers in the British paratroopers in 1940. Steve doesn't tell us about his past and calls himself 'Canada'. Canada proves to be a dutiful craftsman and he has leadership abilities. He is assigned to the 2nd Battalion of the 1st Parachute Brigade, led by Major John Snow. Snow, who is not getting anything from Canada about his past, has him checked. When Snow is injured during a dangerous mission to the radar station Bruneval in Nazi Germany, Canada must take command of its forces in order to survive.
