Gott mit Uns (Dio È con Noi) plot
During the days of the German surrender in 1945, a few German deserters end up with their fellow prisoners of war in a camp in Emmen managed by the Canadians. Although the war is over and lost for them, the German officers still sentence the two ensign refugees to death. In their dogged fanaticism, they even go so far as to ask the Canadian commander to borrow weapons before the execution. After understandable scruples, the latter yields to their wish, on the advice of a senior Canadian officer.
