Freedom's Path plot
William is a soldier who is part of the Union during the American Civil War and receives unexpected help from the free African American Kitch and his cronies. Kitch takes William to their safe haven, knowing full well that he is at great risk. Kitch belongs to a secret society of freed slaves who use the Underground Railroad. This also comes to know the slave catcher Silas.
