"This deadline may be their last."

Aspiring author Clark Laflorette is writing a thriller when his older brother Jamie is murdered at the same time. Inspector Dean Sutton tells Clark that Jamie worked for them and that they know Mark Gaston is the killer. With Gaston out of range, Clark takes matters into his own hands and heads to Gaston's office to kill him. Once there, it turns out that he has already been murdered. Clark is standing with his gun in hand as the police enter. He tries to flee and is helped by the beautiful Bel Washburn. Fleeing the strong arm of the law, he and Bel must find Gaston's killer.
