Thunder Run plot
"For 200 miles, the action never stops!"
The US government wants to trap terrorists who transport plutonium. That is why they resolutely opt for road transport by private persons. After all, army transports are less likely to be attacked by terrorists because of the increased risk of arrest. George Adams works closely with the government and selects citizens who are eligible to realize such transports. Recently, however, his people seem to be unable to resist terrorists. So he seeks out his old war comrade Charlie Morrison, who has a reputation for being an excellent driver. Charlie has just bought a cobalt mine and can use the money offered to him for the plutonium transport. He realizes that the job is not without risk. Hence, he does not want his ambitious grandson Chris to accompany him.
