Great picture.

Wonderful eerie atmosphere. Mysterious, exciting and the soundtrack does its job extremely well. It is not a full-blooded horror, but a strong thriller with horror elements. I read somewhere that the film is about a cult who found the Antichrist in Jay. This explains a lot of mysterious events like the nonsense the librarian spews, the dead animals, and the sacrifices. The end is also the end of Jay's transition.

Yes, I really liked this. I'm curious about Wheatley's other titles.

4*.

Crazy action/horror in which it initially seems like a routine job but which turns into a nightmare. Jay didn't act very professionally and I prefer to see a serial killer who executes everything flawlessly, but the condition of the main characters in Kill List is not the same as usual. The whole is filmed realistically and I always like that raw English style. It's also nice that this time a woman can shoot purposefully and is aware of her husband's practices and in between a Skype conversation to ask how many men have already been laid.

When we switched to the next victim, there was always a black image with white letters to herald that. I found the letters "The Hunchback" very late; many events had already preceded it. There also seemed to be someone unnamed a little further back.

The ending was a letdown. I thought it was pretty predictable that Jay would kill his own wife. Because of course they want to impose a heavy punishment on him after he and Gal took the life of those beasts/half-humans (what were they?). And it didn't look particularly menacing, his wife and son sitting under that cloth like some slow-moving Quasimodo. So yeah, who will it be. And then everyone turns out to be part of the conspiracy. I was not surprised that Fiano was present in the circle as she previously left a symbol on the back of a mirror.

Because there is a good atmosphere for the most part with good acting and great brutality, I was able to enjoy myself for 1.5 hours.
