Jour de Colère plot

Franck has no compassion, which comes in handy as a freelancer who executes both his contracts and his targets with the same cold precision. And yet, tonight, lost in the freezing cold of the Belgian Ardennes, his grip loosens for the first time. A surge of empathy overtakes him and spares his target's life. Oh, he's well aware that he's just made a huge mistake. As a result, not only his reputation is at stake, but his entire life. Because now he has to avoid punishment from his disgruntled customer, a certain Cesar Falcone, the kind who likes to leave horse heads in the beds of his enemies.

Not very successful, I think - although that requires an understanding of what the maker exactly intended, and that is rather lacking. In any case, the whole idea of a film about a hitman has been getting on my nerves for a few years now, there is far too much of that kind of drudgery coming out of Hollywood. And then this plot? It starts off interesting, but that doesn't last until the end. Add to that the annoyingly present soundtrack, the occasionally beautiful but often also uninteresting locations. And perhaps the biggest drawback, the cast - what has happened to Joeystarr the past few years. It looks so baggy, as if you see someone walking around with a mask off his head. It makes me sad. And besides that, it doesn't really come across as if he is completely there, but that is not necessarily his fault, because the entire cast looks a bit dull. Maybe not their day? Anyway, this is not my film.
