Frostfire plot

Unlike his brother Brendan, Nelson Nagarauk wants to study and break with traditional Eskimo life. During a bear hunt, the two quarrel and Nelson returns home alone. Along the way, he finds the unconscious Vera, a young Russian woman who works at the nearby weather station. Despite the hypothermia symptoms, he can keep her alive until she is picked up by a helicopter. On his way to Yellowknife, British Columbia, he meets journalist Victoria Renko. The woman wants to put his story on paper. During a TV news broadcast, Nelson notices that the woman shown as the "rescued" is not the same as the one he found in the Arctic ice. To make matters even more puzzling, it turns out that the eleven other crew members of the weather station are also missing. Victoria becomes intrigued by the case.
