Police Inspector Ray Maldonado is faced with the discovery of a third murdered prostitute within three days. Maldonado suspects he is dealing with a serial killer and his only suspect is street preacher Jimmy Christmas. Christmas, who used to be a criminal, wants to end street prostitution in his neighborhood, but his sermons are unsuccessful. Chrismas says that he actually protects the prostitutes in his neighborhood. The pimp Anthony and his lawyer Phillip are unhappy with the activities of Christmas, who is also under pressure to solve the murders because he has a love affair with Violet, Anthony's main source of income. Because she needs money, Violet can't really stop working for Anthony and therefore can't fulfill Christmas's wish. But then Violet is in mortal danger; she has stolen money from street prostitutes, who have deposited part of their income at Christmas.
