I am a fan of Flemish cinema. Always love to see it.

Koen acts superbly, what a charismatic and nice guy he is. Axel Daeseleire has grown old dude! Nice to see him again, he was one of my favorites in Flikken.

The movie was too long at times. Pieces that were too slow and I had the feeling that it could all have been shortened a bit, to make it a bit smoother. Certain scenes felt superfluous and 'filling' which made it drag on and on and on and on and on.

The denouement of the story was quite fascinating, and indeed it was quite unpredictable during the film how things were going, but somewhere it is also a bit 'too much'.

Certainly worth a sufficient.

I had recently seen the fantastic TV series 'Salamander' and so I was curious about this movie from the same director and largely the same cast.

The true background was unknown to me, but it made for a very penetrating and mysterious thriller. There was something creepy about the small community atmosphere and locations such as St. Hubert and the Dinant quarry were well chosen for this film.

Actors such as Koen De Bouw and Filip Peeters always portray their roles perfectly and also kudos to Maaike Neuville's film debut.

Solid thriller from Flemish soil without being really memorable or to be engraved in your memory. Nice setting in a remote Ardennes where time has stood still, where life takes place around the church tower and where certain notables still have a lot of prestige and influence.

You can always count on Koen De Bouw. Rarely disappoints and always comes into its own in such thrillers or police films. Entertaining and exciting where the mystery only reveals itself at the end. Here and there maybe a little too easy plot with quite a few coincidences and circumstances.

The more you think about it, the plot really sucks Oliver, not to mention the caricatured characters. Just watch without breaking your head and then it's not that bad. Especially the atmosphere/tension and the acting performances are on a high level and that is already a lot.
