Bucharest 1945. Two police detectives, Miclovan, a pedantic, trigger-happy mourner who prefers to shoot criminals rather than bring them to justice, and Roman, a Communist Party member and rugby player, are on the hunt for industrialist Semaca, who Roman believes are the mastermind. is behind a series of bank and jeweler robberies. They soon collide with Semaca's henchmen.
