Chill Factor plot
"This Fall, Action is served on the rocks, with a twist."
A scientist develops the ultimate weapon, which must be kept below fifty degrees Celsius. After a failed test with the weapon, the soldier responsible is sentenced to ten years in prison. After serving the sentence, he returns to the scene of the crime to use the weapon for his own nefarious purposes. A cook and an ice cream man try to prevent this.

Nice action thriller with a few exciting scenes but also with the accompanying unbelievable things (Tim threatens Arlo with a weapon after which Arlo suddenly wants to take the exit to the right... as if Tim would ever pull the trigger). Nowhere is a really powerful impression achieved, but the conviction is just enough to keep you interested. The scene with an ice cream truck is well thought out, just like the boat they use to slide down a mountain. Effects look decent, bad guys are well cast and the whole thing is just nicely filmed.

Decent action movie. Predictable and uninspired, but the interplay between Skeet Ulrich and Cuba Gooding Jr. does some good. And Peter Firth plays an excellent villain, and his maniacal and intense acting exudes menace. Something that Chill Factor does well, because otherwise it is really very mediocre and the film lacks tension and exciting action scenes.
