Amelia Anderson is an ambitious student in the process of completing her degree in Modern Sociology. During a lecture she runs into Nicholas Hallberg. He is a wealthy tech entrepreneur who is committed to a better world. He presents his latest project: a low-budget submarine that can move around the world without using fossil fuels. For her study, Amelia wants to investigate what long-term loneliness can do to a person on a social psychological level. When she is invited for a multi-day trip on the submarine, she finds out that there is more going on on board than she initially expected...
