Volt plot
In the near future there will be no more state borders, all territorial borders have been abolished and instead 'above' is now fighting against 'below'. A cross-state executive must maintain order and closely monitor the residents of a particular transit zone. But during an uprising, there is a momentous event: Volt, a member of the security forces kills an attacker. Without witnesses, this remains his secret for the time being, but the incident gnaws at his conscience. Curiously, he finds comfort in Lablanche, the dead man's sister, who sees in him a friend.
