The Sleeper plot

In the 1990s, the CIA develops a small group of spies called "sleepers." The sleepers have the ability to connect with other people in their dreams. This clandestine spy group is used by the CIA to gather information that is otherwise impossible to obtain. The sleeper agents can penetrate the brains of world leaders in a so-called 'Dreamlink'. The existence of this experimental program is known only to a small elite, and is only used for espionage... until today. Someone in the NSA has internalized the sleeper program and trained his own sleeper agent to create the ultimate untraceable hit man. No politician, scientist or business leader will be safe anymore...
