In Vitro plot
In the wake of an eco-disaster, a huge bunker beneath the Biblical city of Bethlehem has been converted into a large orchard. Scientists use heirloom seeds to replant the soil above. In the hospital wing of the underground complex, the ailing founder of the orchard, 70-year-old Alia, lies on her deathbed, while 30-year-old Alia, Dunia's successor, comes to visit her. The conversation between the two scientists quickly develops into a dialogue about memories, exile and nostalgia.
