Alien Presence plot

"The Invasion has already begun."

An alien has been under severe quarantine in a lab for many years. He is now 18 years old and perfectly healthy. The scientific team, Project Seven, has run out of budget and is disbanded. The military wants to euthanize the alien, but the scientific team refuses. They want to analyze his brain, look for abnormalities in his biological data and then re-educate him. The military staff informs them, unofficially, of a potential danger. Last summer alone, 7 dead grizzly bears, 15 dead raccoons and 47 dead rabbits were discovered in this area. All experienced acoustically induced bleeding around the eyes and ears. They did not die of old age or natural death. What is the chief scientist, Director Waymar, hiding?
