The first manned mission to Mars ends in a deadly crash. Mission leader Mackenzie "Mack" Wilson decides to turn on the artificial intelligence system ARTI. Their search leads to a mysterious object beneath the surface of Mars. This discovery could well change the future of Earth as we know it.
