"Everyone is invited to the wedding of the year."

Groom Elvis (Kenneth Nkosi) has a long drive to Cape Town, where his beautiful fiancée Ayanda (Zandile Mstuwana) prepares for their upcoming wedding while an ex-boyfriend harasses her. Elvis and Tumi (Rapulana Seiphemo), his lifelong friend and best man, hit the road, causing a variety of delays and complications. They end up with a white British woman (Jodie Whittaker) and a goat as passengers, pass the time in an apartheid-era bar and encounter various definitions of 'marriage' along the way.
